How do I organize my closet?

I have a closet that is beneath the stairs so it has that slant. For now all we have are blankets piled in the closet, but I want to organize it somehow so that I can make better use of the closet. Any ideas?

I would organize it from light to dark cloths.
JUst new on T.V. in Canada, the dyi channel look for a program called wasted spaces under stairs storage.
I did the smae thing yr.s ago works out well
There is probalby room for a set of shelves on the part that is not slanted in front of the door (I have a closet like that too). Put the widest shelves that will fit into that side preferably using those metal wire shelves. Use the severely slanting part for other large items putting them as far back as you can. I put storm windows in that area for my closet. I only need to access them twice a year so they are not tought to deal with even in the slanted section.
